Environmental
In daily operations, we ensure financed activities meet environmental safety standards and regulatory requirements, protect biodiversity and natural resources, and preserve cultural heritage. Our green initiatives promote environmental awareness and community well-being. Notable efforts in Tanzania include maintaining the Ohio, Clock Tower, and Kariakoo gardens and partnering with the Tanzania Red Cross Society to plant 10,000 trees and support a school, alongside a blood donation drive. These programs enhance environmental stewardship, community health, and the livability of local areas, reflecting our commitment to positive social impact and sustainable development.
Exim Cares
At Exim Bank, we are dedicated to enhancing social welfare through targeted initiatives that empower communities and foster sustainable development. Our efforts focus on improving access to quality education, ensuring sustainable environmental practices, and supporting health initiatives that enhance community well-being.
We also drive economic growth by promoting innovation among local entrepreneurs, enabling them to create solutions that address pressing challenges.
Additionally, our financial literacy programs equip individuals and families with essential skills for effective financial management, fostering economic empowerment and stability.
Through these comprehensive efforts, we strive to create lasting positive impacts and improve the quality of life for the communities we serve.

Governance
Our Bank upholds healthy corporate governance to drive long-term value for shareholders and all stakeholders. The Board leads with a best-in-class framework, meeting at least four times a year and maintaining a formal schedule of matters reserved for its oversight. Responsibilities include strategy, capital structure, financial reporting and controls, risk management, internal controls, significant contracts, succession planning, and new Board appointments, all in line with Good Corporate Governance principles and Bank of Tanzania requirements.
The Board has the right mix of skills and experience, is periodically assessed for effectiveness, and maintains regulatory vetting of members. It maintains open dialogue with shareholders and stakeholders, discloses significant developments on our website and other channels, and commits to ongoing compliance with governance regulations and best practices
